We snorkeled around for hours and hours, on two different reefs. (The Great Barrier Reef is a string of reefs 2,000 kilometers long.) My underwater point-and-shoot did a fine job, considering its handler, trying to keep the mask from leaking and snorkel dry. But I eventually got the hang of it. Color differences in the photo are due to different depths, and whether or not I used the flash. Magenta spots here and there are the flash bouncing off jellyfish and other lovely crud in the water.
